United We Stand

Back in the gates of the slums, all the warriors and allies of Corrinth were being overwhelmed by the forces of Sibleon. Mya and Paco were at their wit’s end fighting against the two elite units. Viraaj and Shaan had their backs against one another still fighting on but were growing tired. Finally, there was Niall who was alone against his sister within the Metadross suit but even he was running out of gas.

As the Metadross made their charge, a warhorn echoed through the fortress. A volley of arrows appeared behind Mya and Paco, which took out a multitude of sky scanners and malfunctioned some bruiser units. Roop then jumps in and slams his chains against the two elite units that Mya and Paco were battling.

Paco and Mya were excited to see his return. In addition, behind Roop was the entire amazon army. Priya, Addyson and Sonia were there as well and they stood ready to assist Corrinth in their resistance against the Metadross.

“Warriors, rally with me!” Priya shouted as she charged the Metadross forces. Running with her were Sonia and Addyson who were an unstoppable duo, fighting off every Metadross unit in their way. While the Amazonians handled the smaller units, Roop fought the two elite units with the help of Mya and Paco who had been revitalized by the sight of their allies.

Viraaj and Shaan were still surrounded by the horde of Metadross but a loud howl drew the attention of their enemies. Bursting in the battlefield with his trusty pet, Rocky, was Jovin. Rocky charged in and knocked aside all the enemy units before reaching Viraaj and Shaan. Once Rocky arrived, they quickly climbed on.

“Who is this exactly?” Viraaj asked. “Met him back in the Sahana Desert. He’s a great friend and extremely reliable too!” Shaan complimented. They wanted to continue their conversation but they had more important matters at the moment. Shaan began firing his weapon at the far away enemy, Jovin and Viraaj took out any that dared approach Rocky.

That left Niall, who was feeling the effects of a long battle. His sister, Isabelle could sense hsi fatigue and advanced with her army to finish him off but an explosive impact came upon them, halting their attack.

Niall looked back to see a giant tank that he recognized from Colony Five. Slowly, the hatch opened and Commander Roman appeared. “Ready to assist, Sir!” He yelled. Niall was glad to see his old friend. Roman was positioned at the turret and he told Niall that Ajay was the pilot. In addition, behind their tank was a small fleet of tanks, all created by the intellect of Anusha and Kaviya.

“Colony five artillery, ready, aim FIRE!” ordered Commander Roman. A barrage of cannon fire rained down on the Metadross, taking out another chunk of their forces. As this was happening, David appeared before Niall. “Seems like you got my message.” Niall spoke. “Yup, I messaged everyone I could and they agreed to help.” David smiled.

Their reunion was interrupted as Isabelle appeared ready to battle them both. David was eager to help but Niall declined. “Let me settle this against her. You got a more important target to take out.” David agreed, “Alright, just stay alive, I still need to rematch you.” And David rushed off while Niall stood to fight his sister.

The Metadross were finally being pushed back by the combined forces of the humans. Sensing this, David made his way to take out the colossal siege units before they could swing the tide again. Siri notified David of all the critical points on the siege units. David flew from unit to unit, firing his plasma cannon at the precise spot that Siri informed him about.

Once David made sure they were all taken care of, he left everything else in the hands of his allies. He turned his attention toward the giant warship where Sibleon was hiding. The thrusters on his back reignited and as he ascended towards his destination, he began to reminisce about what Rice had told him.

After a couple weeks of training with Rice, David could feel his fighting instincts had improved. He remembered when he first started, he could barely keep up with Rice and was exhausted after a few minutes of training. But now, he had better control of his body and his mechanical weaponry.

On this day, he was ready for another round of training but to his surprise, Rice had other plans in mind. “Today your training with me ends, I have taught you all that you require to put a stop to the Metadross threat.” David was in disbelief. He knew there was more that Rice hadn’t taught him. “That’s true, I haven’t taught you everything I know, but time is of the essence. I will tell you what you must do to stop the Metadross invasion and how to save the people under Sibleon’s manipulation.”

David gave Rice his full attention. “You must get on his warship. On that vessel is an amplifier that allows him to control his army and the humans that possess Metadross in them. Get into the control room and your A.I. will be able to override it.”

After hearing the plan, David was excited and ready to relay it all to Siri. However, before David could do so, Rice got his attention once more. He told David that unfortunately, there was a risk to the plan. David thought he was ready for any sacrifice he might have to make. But David wasn’t ready for what Rice was about to say next, “It's not your life that will be in danger, it's your A.I.’s.”
