The Encrypted Temple

Making his way through the temple, Armaan and Greninja found Gunraj and Neha off to the side. Armaan stopped to see how they were both doing. They were both fine and had been freed after Neha had cleared the way for the general. Having no further need of them, the general kept his word and let them go. Gunraj urged Armaan to hurry and that there still might be a chance to stop General Corrin from obtaining the meteorite. As Armaan began to sprint towards the corridor, Neha tried to grab his attention to tell him something important about the meteorite but it was too late. Armaan and Greninja had both already left.

At last, they had made their way to the chamber where Armaan and Greninja were met with General Corrin. The meteorite lay on a stoney stance in the middle of the room unguarded and near the grasp of the general. However, he wasn’t reaching to obtain it just yet, instead he was just sitting on the steps, as if he was waiting for Armaan to show.

General: So you finally showed up.

Armaan: Give it up General Corrin. Greninja and I have beaten every challenge you threw at us. We even took down your mighty Tyranitar.

General: You have performed well but everything you have done I have expected.

Armaan: What do you mean?

General: Every adventure you had so far I calculated. I knew you would meet up with the Night Rider, eventually team up with her, meet the Chieftain, and eventually lead the key of the temple to me.

Armaan: You couldn’t have…

General: And now I'm just seconds away from taking the meteorite.

Armaan: Sorry General you have a slight miscalculation in your plan. Greninja and I are both here to take you on. You are outnumbered!

General: Actually, I accounted for this as well. Judging from your wounds your battle with the Tyranitar has taken quite the toll on your Greninja. I would say Greninja is not even at 50% of its full power.

Armaan: And what about me?

General: Sorry Armaan, but you are irrelevant.

The last comment set Armaan off and he charged with his shield which the general easily evaded. Greninja came swinging in with its ‘Night Slash’ but it was parried by the general’s sword. Wanting to keep the pressure up, Armaan attempted to strike from the general’s left side. General Corrin first overpowered Greninja with sheer force and then proceeded to block Armaan and then kick him in the chest. Armaan and Greninja regrouped and this time they attempted for a simultaneous strike. The general blocked both their weapons with his sword, before palming Greninja away and then grabbing Armaan by the collar and throwing him against the wall.

Armaan was in an awkward position as his head was facing the ground causing blood to rush down his head. Greninja attempted to get up but as it was about to stand up, the general kicked it back down to the ground. He then made his way to Armaan and grabbed him by the collar of his suit. He gave Armaan a look of disappointment. The general thought Armaan would have offered a tougher challenge. He threw Armaan to the ground once more before turning towards the meteorite.

As the general was about halfway up the small flight of stairs, Armaan’s shield came flying across nearly hitting the general. General Corrin turned around to see that Armaan was back on his feet holding his shield for battle. “Thanks for throwing me, you got the blood rushing to my head and that allowed me to come out with an idea to stop you.” Armaan said with confidence. The general gave a smirk assuming that his opponent was bluffing. He drew his sword again and made his way to attack Armaan but Greninja came striking in again. Greninja was biding time for Armaan to get in position to execute their plan. The general and Greninja exchanged a few clashes with their attacks before they fell into a deadlock. Armaan saw this as his opportunity, he got behind the general and with all his might threw his shield right at him.

Unfortunately the general saw right through their plans. He managed to dodge Armaan’s shield by pushing off Greninja. Then he followed up by slamming Greninja with his left fist and elbowing it to the ground. General Corrin now stood with one foot standing on top of Greninja. It looked as if he was about to land the finishing blow but before he could Armaan’s shield was coming around like a boomerang. However, the general saw that part of their plan as well and easily sidestepped the attack.

General: Your attack was far too predictionable and you completely missed your last attack. How could you possibly think to defeat me with such an obvious strategy?

Armaan: You are right. Our strategy was very obvious but you are wrong about one thing.

General: And what am I wrong about?

Armaan: I didn’t miss.

General: Ha! I’m completely unscathed.

Armaan: Who said you were the target?

The general turned his attention to the meteorite where Armaan’s shield had landed next to. Attached to his shield were pokeballs but they weren’t just any pokeballs, they were the prototypes that Rashmi had initially designed. As the general finally realized what they were, the pokeballs all detonated on the meteorite. Boom!

After the explosion, they waited for the smoke to clear. Neha had just entered into the chamber to find out what had happened. “No! Do you know what you have done?” the general cried out. Armaan was certain that he had put an end to the general’s plan but what threw him off was how worried the general looked, he had never seen him in that much fear before. As the smoke finally cleared, the meteorite was no longer there but out from its remains flew out a triangular object. It moved sporadically before radiating an ominous red glow. It wasn’t before long that it began to grow four tentacle-like arms, a crystal in its chest, and soon its whole body was formed.

Armaan stared at the creature that was only about the size of a full grown human. He had never read anything about this mysterious being in any of his pokemon books. “That’s Deoxys.” Armaan turned his attention to Neha who spoke. “It's the pokemon I have seen in my visions that caused havoc across the Earth.” She continued. The alien pokemon stares at everyone in the temple, not seeing any of them as a threat, it flies out of the temple leaving everyone behind. “We can’t let it get away, if it gets released we won’t be able to contain it!” the general shouted. Although Armaan was very confused if General Corrin was his ally or enemy, right now there were bigger concerns.

Once they all left the temple they found Zaid and his Blastoise attempting to fight Deoxys. Zaid got his Blastoise to mega evolve right away and use ‘Hydro Cannon’ directly at its foe. His attack landed but the Deoxys was completely unharmed. It then stored up a huge amount of energy into its crystal chest before unleashing all that energy into a laser like attack ‘Psycho Boost’ which was fired at Blastoise. No one could believe it but in just one shot, Blastoise reverted back to its normal form and was unable to battle.

With the situation looking dire, the general called his companion Tyranitar who was lying down from the previous battle. It mustered up all its strength in order to stand back up and fight. The mighty behemoth towered over its miniature foe and attempted to slam it with its tail. Deoxys didn’t bother dodging the attack and took the attack. As the Tyranitar lifted his tail back up to see the aftermath of its attack, Dexoys had changed its form to defense, looking more bulky and taking no damage from the attack. The general showing signs of anxiousness after the failed attack immediately called Tyranitar to use ‘Hyper Beam.’ Tyranitar gathered all the strength it could and unleashed the hyper beam right at Deoxys and once again it just stood there in its defense form absorbing the full attack.

After the conclusion of the attack, Deoxys seemed to be badly wounded as one of its arms seemed to have been blown off. However, it began to focus its energy on its missing limb and it regenerated its arm. It rotated its newly formed arm before looking at its colossal foe. Tyranitar had expended too much energy and was greatly exhausted. Suddenly Deoxys changed its form again, this time to attack form, and it dashed right at the Tyranitar and struck it down in just one blow. Armaan couldn’t believe it, it took just two attacks for the Deoxys to take down two of his previous opponents.

As Tyranitar laid on the ground unable to move, Deoxys approached it with its arm out. It drained the giant pokemon of all its energy to become even stronger. Once it was finished, it changed into its final form, speed, and left everyone behind. All the fighting within the proximity of the temple grounds had halted after they heard the mighty Tyranitar’s cry. Every combatant began to gather up to where they heard the momentous fall.

After being drained of all its power, the colossal Tyranitar was no more and instead what was left was a human that no one recognized except for the general. The general ordered the relevant soldiers to halt all fighting activities and focus on saving the unconscious person on the ground. As the soldiers were following orders and taking medical procedure, Chloe and Da-Wei looked on in confusion while Aumber walked towards the general in demand of an explanation. With everyone looking at him, from Armaan, Zaid, Gunraj, Neha, and all the ranking officers of the Relevant army, the general began to disclose the full story of what happened.
