Out of the Hideout

By now, they had all everyone out of the lair. They were doing a quick check to make sure they had everyone when suddenly, “Oh no… Master Ruthar, Eric, and the three hunters are still trapped in there!” Duncan said in a panic. “We got to hurry and…” Nilay began speaking but then was interrupted. “What are you guys blabbing on about?” Master Ruthar’s voice appeared. Chloe and Da-Wei rushed to give Ruthar a hug. Nilay, Duncan and Da-Yong ran close to him as well. “But wait… what about Eric and the three hunters?” asked Nilay. “What? I thought they were all with…” before Ruthar could finish a loud “ZERO!” was announced, followed by a big boom!

The laboratory had been destroyed but there was no sign of Eric and the 3 hunters anywhere. The five heroes were disheartened when suddenly, a familiar creature greeted them with a wave. It was Monkey Joe! That meant that Eric survived the explosion. Monkey Joe was pointing towards a certain direction and so the five heroes along with Master Ruthar hurried over to where the critter had directed When they arrived at where Monkey Joe led them, they found the three hunters lying down on the snow. Sitkar, Tsuejin, and Nase were conscious but they were tied up. The heroes looked back towards the hideout that had detonated and near the fire they could now see a figure there. It was no doubt Eric standing near the aftermath. He waved at the five heroes acknowledging their presence and as the smoke got bigger, he eventually disappeared without a trace. “Rice the Rampage, who leaves a path of destruction wherever he goes? Couldn’t be him, could it?” They all wondered between them.

“Alright let’s get this over with already, just turn us in and get your reward.” yelled an annoyed Tsuejin. “Anything is better than spending another minute with this bozo here.” Sitkar aimed his comment at Tsuejin. “Well, didn’t think you guys could pull it off, but for the record you didn’t beat us we still have a score to settle after we break loose.” Duncan, Da-Yong, and Nilay all nodded and smiled. In unison they all slashed the rope that had the hunters tied up:

Chloe: Wait what?! Why would you guys do that?!

Da-Wei: Yeah! They were a complete pain for us and now you guys just release them?!

Sitkar: The little ones have a point… What kind of dark sorcery is this…?

Tsuejin: Yeah if you guys are looking to settle the score now you are in for the time of… (Nase held him back)

Nilay: You three were just trying to save your people from being experimented on, although you guys were a terrible pain for us…

Da-Yong: Plus we still need to settle this score in a more controlled environment…

Nase: Heh, well there is no promise we won’t return to our old bad ways…

Duncan: That’s ok, because you can bet that we will be there to stop you guys again if you do

Ruthar: Leave me out of this, I’m getting too old…

No handshakes were exchanged, only smiles and mutual respect for each of the fighters were felt that day. With that, Nase shot a signal arrow to the air and three polar bear dogs appeared and the 3 hunters rode away from the mountains. As they disappeared from sight, a fleet of police and peacekeepers began to show up. There were water benders putting out fires and many people helping the scientists and prisoners relocate to their families. There was also a group of people helping take care of the animals and sorting them back to their natural habitat. All that was left was the questioning and answering that came towards the heroes.

Police #1: So what exactly happened here?

Chloe: YOU WON’T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED, THERE WAS THIS MAD SCIENTIST AND THE THREE HUNTERS NASE, SITKAR, AND TSUEJIN WERE IN ON THIS TOO. THEY WERE LOCKING UP ANIMALS AND GETTING SCIENTIST TO DO THINGS AND HELP THEM MAKE THINGS AND CREATE HUMAN ANIMAL THINGIES AND TRY TO GET REVENGE BACK ON BENDERS FOR BULLYING HIM BACK IN THE SCHOOL DAYS. NASE, SITKAR, AND TSUEJIN TURNED OUT TO BE HELPFUL A LITTLE AND THERE WAS THIS GIANT YETI-DRAGON AND IT WAS LIKE ROAR!!!! WE HAD TO FIGHT IT WITH EVERYTHING WE GOT. IT WAS LIKE ROAR PEW PEW AND WE WERE LIKE SWOOSH BANG BANG. SOMEHOW WE BEAT IT AND THEN THE AVATAR SHOWED UP AND FREED THE BEAST AND ALSO TOOK THE SCIENTIST GUY AWAY TO THE SPIRIT WORLD AND MEANWHILE WE GOT EVERYONE OUT SAFE AND SOUND OR SO WE THOUGHT. WE FOUND THE 3 HUNTER HERE BUT THEY ARE ACTUALLY NOT BAD GUYS SO WE DECIDED TO LET THEM GO FOR NOW BUT DON’T YOU WORRY ME AND BROTHER AND THE REST OF US WILL MAKE SURE THEY WON’T HARM ANYONE OR ANY ANIMAL ANYMORE!

Police #2: Ummm… What? You must have been out in the mountains too long. The lack of oxygen is getting to your head.

Police #1: Lady have you had any cactus juice lately?

Duncan: Officer I know my sister sounds crazy and well she sort of is… but she is telling the tru… (Ruthar interrupts)

Ruthar: Rice the Rampage.

Police #1: Say what?!

Ruthar: Rice the Rampage.

Police #2: Rice the Rampage?! He was here?! THAT MAKES TOTAL SENSE!

(Foamy mouth guy appears out of nowhere!)

Police #1: Thank you for telling us this Ruthar. We must alert everyone else! No one is safe with that man running loose! All forces on red alert!

Police #2: Man I totally wished I could have witnessed Rice the Rampage in action!

Police #1: Hey whose side are you on anyways?

The Policemen walked away eager to pass the word that Rice the Rampage had something to do with what had been happening on the scene. Duncan, Da-Yong, Da-Wei, Nilay and Chloe looked at Ruthar as they were perplexed as to why he told the policemen that Rice the Rampage was behind everything. “Master Ruthar, why didn’t you just tell them the truth?” asked Chloe. “Well let’s think about it from other people’s perspective: do you think they will believe that the world was saved by 3 teenagers and 2 children? Ruthar asked them. “Huh, you have a very good point teacher Ruthar.” Da-Wei admitted. “Well we better start heading back home. We got a long way back and our parents are probably worried sick.” Duncan announced to everyone. “Woo mission accomplished, go us!” Celebrated Nilay. “Wait Donuts, we forgot something really important…” Da-Yong interrupted. “What’s that dumplings?” asked Duncan. “WE FORGOT TO GET THE CHAMELEON SKUNK FOR THE BOUNTY!”
