Sidetracked

After the long journey, the ship had finally reached the borders of the Para-Docks. From the distance, they could see that the land was being overwhelmed by the dark forces of Dragkonis. Maggie docked her ship quickly so everyone could get off and defend the city.

Many people on the Para-Docks were running for their lives to escape, except for Shawn the Merchant. He was doing all he could to protect his property and assets from the invasion of dread knights. Seeing this, Ranak and Aaryav attempted to clear out as many dread knights as they could to help the business man. Shortly after, the Eishaans joined in to help support them. Then the three mages: Kabir, Cole, and Jawad stormed into the fray. And finally, Birkaran stomped into battle and crushed his enemies.

With their combined efforts, they were able to fend off the horde of dread knights from destroying a majority of Shawn’s properties. “Thank you so much for saving my investments!” He said with joy. “Could I interest some of you with some of my finest items? I promise I will give you a very sweet deal after saving my shops!”

Cole: I would be careful guys. I hear some of these merchants can be quite cunning.

Kabir: Yeah I agree with Cole, we should stay away before we get sucked into buying something we don’t need.

Shawn: Did I mention that I also own a restaurant that serves some of the tastiest fried chicken?

Eshaan: What? Where? Show me!

Ishaan: Eshaan!

Shawn: I have also got a supply of fresh mangos coming in.

Jawad: No way… Mangos… Guys we can’t leave just yet!

As they were heavily distracted by the merchant, Birkaran slammed his weapon against the ground to grab all their attention. “Guys! We got a world to save!” Ranak yelled. “If we don’t go now, Dragkonis is going to destroy everything and there won’t be anything left. No chicken or mangos!” Aaryav emphasized.

After hearing the logical words from the royal guards, they all snapped out of their trance and refocused. They joined up together and made sure the area was cleared of all enemy forces.

With the horde of dread knights kept under control, Maggie, Jiyah, and Nadya made sure the villagers on the ship got off safely. The only people who stayed on the ship were Sediya, Remy the Jester, Jasmine, and Reina. “Sediya, please take care and look after Jasmine and Reina.” Nadya told the veterinarian who happily agreed. She then turned to face the jester, “Remy, keep doing what you are doing!” Feeling very proud of his contribution to the team, he stood up, “Aye Aye Captain!” Then Maggie, Jiyah and Nadya joined up with their allies to proceed towards the Grasix Arena.
