Diamondlot

Prologue

This is the world of Diamondlot, where knights, wizards, rogues, and mythical creatures roam the land. Kings and Queens were considered governors of this vast world and kingdoms were protected by brave knights. It wasn’t a perfect world by any means but it had its charm and each kingdom was at peace with one another. Until one day, a great dark dragon rose and decided to usurp the throne. It destroyed castles and terrorized the people of the land wherever it flew. It was so powerful that it attracted other dark forces to ally with it on its quest to conquer the world.

Thankfully, Diamondlot had many brave warriors ready to battle against the forces of darkness. They were led by a great wizard in a giant war against the dragon and its forces. The war proved to be costly as many people lost their lives and the great beast nearly succeeded. However, thanks to the cunning wizard, he was able to cast a spell that would imprison the dragon into another realm. The warriors bought the wizard enough time to cast his magic and they managed to force the dragon into the portal and seal it away for years to come.

Unfortunately, the spell came at a price to the wizard, it encased him in a stone prison that could not be broken by any known physical strength or magic. The wizard was unable to move but the dragon had been locked away. Many were thankful to the wizard and honor his name throughout the kingdom as peace was restored for the time being.

Now, a century has passed and the seal keeping the dragon imprisoned is beginning to weaken. The dragon’s dark forces have made a return in an attempt to bring their master back. They have already made themselves known to the world by attacking the kingdoms in the east. Although they couldn’t defeat the kingdoms they managed to take a valuable hostage from the east kingdom, their Prince Yuz Lez. It was rumored that the dark forces would invade the kingdom of the west, so the kingdom increased their security in order to protect their princess. Despite their efforts, the princess of the west had gone missing without much of a trace.

Diamondlot was in trouble, they were slowly losing their future to the dark forces and the great dragon’s coming seemed inevitable. Many of the adults have been asked to join the militia to combat the dark forces. That left many children unattended and to fend for themselves. Very few lead a typical normal life, some joined the militia and some became adventurers in these chaotic times.
