Onward

A month later, after they had been working together to help rebuild the town, everyone gathered at the McGavan for a gigantic celebration. “Food and drinks are on me!” Shawn the merchant announced. They all cheered and were filled with joy on such a momentous day.

Pidya was scrambling around making sure everyone got their food and drinks. There were many orders to fulfill and what made things even more difficult was Riya and Timbit running around the tavern causing a commotion. Seeing she could use some assistance, Jasmine joined in to help Pidiya out. Remy set up a stage for himself to tell his jokes and for once, he found an audience that would laugh at his humour instead of throw tomatoes at him.

Bharath was sitting near Amisha and sharing with her the many weapons he had forged over his time at the Grasix Arena. Meanwhile, Birkaran was showing Sediya all the journaling and writing he did back in the Shamir Swamps. Near them were Maggie and Zara who talked about how difficult it was to find good crew members and soldiers as the many they have had were very incompetent.

The three mages Jawad, Cole, and Kabir were sitting together chatting and near them were the Eishaans. Eshaan enjoyed all the fried chicken he could eat and got along very well with Jawad and Cole. On the other hand, Kabir and Ishaan still had a score to settle from the ship. Aaryav tried to restrain Kabir, while Ranak tried to lock down Ishaan before the fight would get out of hand but they couldn’t stop them.

Kabir and Ishaan stared each other down and Announcer Rayan jumped in to promote a fight. “Everyone, this is the epic food fight you have been waiting for! The cold hearted Kabir vs the sneaky Ishaan! Who will win in this epic kitchen knockout special!” Seeing this as another opportunity for income, Shawn came walking around with his money bag, “Place your bets everyone!”

While everyone was celebrating inside, Reina, Nadya and Jiyah were just outside of the tavern on the terrace. They had some extra food and water brought out on plates and cups, placing them near two empty seats. Although they were no longer physically present, the three warriors didn’t ever want to forget the sacrifice that were made by Leyyah and Rice so that everyone could live to celebrate today.

The next day, they all began to part ways. Pidiya still owned her tavern and had a new helper around, Jasmine. Shawn the merchant continued to build up his wealth, slowly owning every store in the Para-docks. He also found that Remy had a talent for drawing a huge crowd with his humour and hired the Jester to work for him.

With their previous homes destroyed and invaded from the dread knight attacks, Birkaran and Sediya along with her dog Timbit were left without a place to stay. Once again, Shawn found use for their talents and skills. He helped Sediya set up her veterinarian clinic on the Para-docks and for Birkaran, Shawn found him a nice quiet space where he could write to his heart’s content.

Zara, Bharath, and Bharath returned to the Grasix arena that had been repaired and upgraded. Zara continued her reign as the champion of the arena. Bharath still made some of the finest weapons and armor for the contestants. Rayan continued to be one of the greatest announcers around and somehow never lost his voice.

After their travels with everyone, Ishaan and Eshaan no longer wanted to be mercenaries. Instead, they had to sharpen their fighting skills for good and decided to ask Zara if they could be trained by her. Although it took quite a bit of convincing, Zara changed her answer from a hard ‘no’ to a maybe and while they were waiting for her to change the answer to a ‘yes’, they got to train with the one and only Elle Chandra.

Maggie and Riya prepared their ship to leave the harbour of the Paradocks. Joining them on their adventure Amisha, who had enough with life at the kingdom and wanted to explore the wonders of the world. After giving her regards to Reina and the royal guards, she left with Maggie and Riya to the unknown adventures out in the sea.

The three mages: Kabir, Cole, and Jawad left Para-docks on a different ship. They wanted to start and rebuild the wizard academy that was destroyed years ago. Despite Dragkonis no longer being a threat, they knew that there would be other enemies in the future. They need to be ready and train the next generation.

Reina, Nadya, Jiyah, Aaryav, and Ranak left the Grasix Arena and went out into the open path. They eventually came across a fork in the road that led to three different destinations. This was where the three friends would finally part ways after everything they had been through on their journey.

Before they went their separate ways, Reina asked Aaryav and Ranak to go on ahead as she wanted some time to speak with Jiyah and Nadya. The two guards complied and went on ahead allowing the three to say their final words.

Nadya: So I guess this is it.

Jiyah: Can’t believe I’m actually saying this but it was quite entertaining having you both around. I might actually miss you both.

Reina: Well don’t miss us too much. I’m sure we will see each other again.

Nadya: Reina’s right, I doubt we have seen the last of each other. Unless you really don’t want to see us anymore Jiyah.

Jiyah: I can’t confirm or deny that.

Reina: Haha. It's kind of crazy looking back how we all met up.

Nadya: Yeah to think, this all happened because of that silly coin flip game.

Jiyah: All this because the coin landed heads. Who knew?

Reina: Ummm… actually, there is something I have been meaning to tell you both. Back at the tavern when I tossed the coin up into the air, it landed on tails.

Nadya: Wait, so you lied to us about the coin toss?!

Reina: Maybe…

Reina begins walking away nonchalantly leaving the Jiyah and Nadya baffled. “Ha! Looks like she has some rogue blood in her after all.” Jiyah exclaimed. They each began to take their separate paths but as Reina was walking she heard a voice call, “Go!” Reina immediately turned around to ask if either Nadya or Jiyah heard something but they had already left. She came to the conclusion it was probably her imagination, so she continued on her way back home, staring into the calm sunny sky.
