Choice

Jiyah, Nadya and Reina continued making their way to where they thought the Eishaans and the royal guards would be. As they were running, the ground beneath their feet was now covered in ice. They were hoping for the best but they had an awful feeling about what they would find.

Upon reaching the area that has been covered with ice pillars, they began to look around for Kabir or their allies. They couldn’t hear any fighting going on, which meant that the battle might have been over. It only took a few minutes before Nadya spotted everyone they were looking for. Unfortunately, they were lying down on the icy ground without any movement.

The girls rushed to their allies who were lying on the ground badly beaten. Nadya and Jiyah went to check on the Eishaans while Reina inspected the royal guards. Ranak and Aaryav both managed to open their eyes but were unable to move their bodies. Ranak let Reina know that all four of them fought their hardest but they didn’t even come close to a fraction of Kabir’s power. Reina acknowledged their efforts and wanted them to avoid speaking to conserve their energy.

After Ranak spoke, Aaryav asked Reina if she and her friends still intended to face Kabir. She looked to Jiyah and Nadya before looking back to Aaryav and nodding her head confidently. Both the royal guards let out a laugh, they knew her answer, as they couldn’t stop her from helping others before. They both told her to be careful before closing their eyes to get some rest.

Reina then made her way to rejoin Nadya and Jiyah. Both the Eishaans had fallen asleep after speaking with the two girls. Nadya informed Reina that both her and Jiyah offered to give their potions to the mercenaries but they happily declined. They insisted that the girls kept it for themselves as they would need it for their battle against Kabir.

With some doubt crawling into her mind, Reina began to question, “Do you two think we can beat him?” Jiyah cracks her knuckles as she replies, “Who knows. It's not like that has ever stopped us before.” Reina laughed and agreed. “Hey if anything happens, we still got your back.” Nadya assured her. Reina thanked them both and the three felt a bit more rejuvenated after that talk and charged towards their enemy.
