Machine Story

Prologue

Earth, the planet filled with life and huge oceans has been home to many lifeforms through its time. The birds fly free in the air, the oceans are teeming with sea creatures and the land has animals flourishing throughout. But of all creatures that live on the earth, none have multiplied and thrived as much as the human race. They first started as simple creatures, but over time, they evolved learning languages and created new inventions to make their race more advanced.

However, humans eventually discovered another species that was unlike any animal they had seen in the wilds. These creatures were mechanical but seemed to have an understanding of how humans communicate. This race was known as the Mecheons. Their height was about the same as humans but they didn’t have the same limitations as humans when it came to longevity. However, they still had their flaws and weaknesses.

Both tribes were well aware that the greatest chance of survival was to work together. Despite their differences, the humans and Mecheons lived amongst each other. Where humans got easily tired on a mundane task, the Mecheons could easily last longer. And where things required inspiration and tender care, the humans assisted the Mecheons. All was well as the two races lived together in harmony.

Then suddenly, something caused the Mecheons to transform from kind robots into killing machines. As they began to lose their connection with the human race, they changed their identity and were now referred to as the Metadross. Their only mission was to eliminate all humans from the face of the Earth.

Now, because of the events that transpired, humans have been spread thin throughout the world. Smaller colonies and tribes have begun to form as large groups would easily attract Metadross attention. And so, the humans did their best to live in a hostile world bent on trying to rid them of existence.
