Truth Revealed

Upon their first contact with the meteor, the general and his friend were met with opposition from the Chieftains' pokemon. Despite the dangers around them, General Corrin elected to pursue the meteorite and he was well within reach of obtaining it. However, as he was about to make contact with the meteorite a pokemon was charging towards him but luckily his friend jumped in and pushed him away. The general’s companion successfully saved his life but it came at a cost as his friend came into contact with the meteorite. As a result his friend absorbed some of the energy that was emitted from the meteorite and that led to its transformation into the colossal Tyranitar.

Seeing what the meteorite was capable of, the Chieftains sealed away the meteorite that day while the general went back to the city for help. Unfortunately nobody would believe what had happened, the meteorite, his friend’s transformation, none of it. Unable to find any help from others, the general devoted the rest of his life to finding a cure to release his friend from his dreaded curse.

However, he needed money in order to fund his research so he started ‘the Relevant’ to counter the pokemon force that would attack the city. He got Tyranitar to scare off the pokemon in the forest and to attack the city multiple times and used it as an opportunity to blame the wild pokemon. Overtime, he accumulated resources which allowed him to research and hire scientists to help create technology to help stabilize his friend and in hope to find the cure. Through all his efforts, he found only one solution to returning his friend back to human form and it required the meteorite. The general was very diligent in his research, knowing very well the meteorite could unleashed a devastating force if not handled properly. Therefore, he planned specifical cautionary procedure once he had obtained it. Eventually he pitched the idea of obtaining the meteorite as it could help rebuild the city from the devastating attack from the pokemon.

And that has brought them to this point in time. The general had finally got his friend back into human form although he was very unstable for the time being. But even worse, he had hoped to have been able to do it without summoning the legendary destructive force he had researched so much about, Dexoys.

Armaan: This is all my fault… I tried to stop you and unleashed Deoxys…

Chloe: No Armaan this isn’t your fault.

Da-Wei: It kind of is…

Chloe: Da-Wei!

Aumber: None of this matters right now. All we need to know is how to stop that thing. Tell us how we do it.

General: I’m sorry. I don’t know.

Aumber: Alright then, listen up everyone. I’m going to go stop Deoxys myself.

Zaid: Wait what? That’s crazy! That’s exactly what I was going to say!

Aumber: Whether the rest of you join me or not, I’m going to stop that thing from destroying the village, your city, and perhaps the entire world.

With such an inspiring speech, she empowered a majority of the warriors there. Chloe, Zaid, Da-Wei, Reevmrak, Aynat, Teenpaj, Captain Michelle, Colonel Justine, Major Sam, Chieftain Gunraj, Neha, and even the General agreed to go along with Aumber. Unfortunately, some of them decided against, one of them was Armaan.

Chloe tried to convince Armaan to come with them but he just sat there not moving. Aumber called for everyone to head out as there was no time to be wasting. As everyone began to set out, Greninja gave one look back at Armaan before following everyone towards battle. Right before he left, Da-Wei had just one thing to say, “Out of all of us, I didn’t think you would be the one staying behind.” and they all left in pursuit of Deoxys.

After everyone had left, Armaan began to think and speak out his thoughts.

Armaan: Everything that has happened… Was everything I did…

Rice: Pointless?

Armaan: What? Where did you come from?

Rice: That was what you were going to say right?

Armaan: Yes. Everytime I tried to do the right thing it seemed to just keep making things worse. And that stupid prophecy, something about the one with Greninja being the chosen one! I just found Froakie, the one you left behind!

Rice: So you are mad at me now?

Armaan:Well, no. I’m just, I don’t know. I just feel like this whole prophecy thing is made up and that there is no chosen one.

Rice: You are correct.

Armaan: Wait about what?

Rice: The prophecy about the one with Greninja being the chosen one was man-made. I should know, I made it up and passed it onto the villagers.

Armaan: But why would you do that?

Rice: The people at the time needed hope. They had been devastated by the meteor and had lost nearly their entire population.

Armaan: So you gave them false hope.

Rice: Not exactly. I left Froakie there to see who would take care of it and what they would decide to do. There is no chosen one, but there are those who choose. You chose to take Froakie with you and treat its wounds. You chose to raise it and take it with you on this journey. Everything that has happened is because of the choices you have made.

Armaan: Ha, and look where that has gotten everyone.

Rice: It's true, things aren’t great right now but nothing is perfect. But there is a question that needs to be answered and can only be answered by you.

Armaan: And what question would that be?

Rice: What will you choose to do now?
