All On the Line

The Relevant soldiers gave supporting fire as Captain Michelle, Colonel Justine and Major Sam engaged the lone pokemon for battle. The three of them attempted to use all their strength against Deoxys but it’s defensive form absorbed all their attacks. It then countered all the power it stored from their attacks back at them, knocking them out of the fight along with a majority of the Relevant forces. Realizing that sheer force couldn’t win this fight, the rest of the squad had to re-strategize their attack. Reevmrak, Aynat and Teenpaj attempted to grab onto Deoxys to try and contain its movement but it changed into its speed form. Evading all their attempts to grab it, it then quickly strikes them all back with its insane velocity knocking three more of their fighters out.

Tired of just watching and waiting, Chloe jumped into the battle going head on against the speedy Deoxys. As it was about to disappear with its blistering speed, it all of a sudden froze in place. Neha’s Alakazam was using psychic to hold the foe temporarily. This allowed Chloe to get in close and latch a device onto Deoxys which shocked it and caused it to be paralyzed. With this opportunity presented upon them, everyone unleashed their strongest attack:

Da-Wei turned both his power gauntlets to maximum voltage and fires a massive electrical discharge

Chieftain Gunraj commanded Arcanine to use ‘Overheat’

Neha’s Alakazam used Shadow Ball

Zaid used his remaining stamina to mega evolved Blastoise and for it to use Dark Pulse

Greninja also used Dark Pulse

Finally, Aumber used the dark Z-crystal on her katana to activate Absol’s ultimate attack, ‘Black Hole Eclipse’

Their combined efforts landed an explosive attack that took time for the smoke to clear. Out of the smoke, Deoxys was heavily damaged and lost all its limbs but it slowly began to regenerate them back. Almost everyone was too exhausted to continue but Chloe, Aumber, Greninja and the General were still able to fight and charged right at the recovering pokemon. The General called for them to aim at its crystal body as it seemed that was the source of its power. Chloe punched the crystal with all her might along with Aumber’s katana, Greninja’s Night Slash and General Corrin’s sword driving right at the target. However, the aura emitting from it was too powerful it repelled their efforts sending them back against the ground.

After the failed attack, Deoxys had regenerated all its limbs back and it changed into its attack form before unleashing its ultimate attack, ‘psycho boost.’ The giant beam was heading for the three warriors, Aumber was too injured to move but Gunraj rushed in and pushed her out of the way. The general used the last of his strength to grab Greninja and threw it out of the way. Chloe was also unable to move but Zaid gave the last of his strength to come in and save Chloe. The psycho boost ended up hitting General Corrin, Chieftain Gunraj and Zaid, who fell unconscious and were in critical condition.

That attack did more than take out three more warriors, it took out a General that was the leader to his squad, a Chieftain that was the hope to her village, and an uprising hero who inspired many. The situation looked grim as everyone else was near their wit’s end. The Dexoys approached its first target, Neha’s Alakazam, placing its arm on it and absorbing all its energy. Alakazam looked lifeless and Deoxys had restored its energy to continue its rampage. As the Deoxys looked to its next target, a shield came flying, clanking it on its head. It turned its attention to the culprit who threw it and standing in sight of everyone was the return of Armaan.

With his return, the remaining warriors who were still able to fight got a boost in morale. Armaan got a quick status report on their predicament from Da-Wei. As it stands, only Aumber, Da-Wei, Chloe, Absol, Arcanine and Greninja were the only ones able to battle on. However, Armaan was also aware of the fact that Deoxys was aiming to take the pokemon out first so it could absorb their life force. With that in mind, Armaan made the tough decision that they had to leave their pokemon out of the battle and keep them safe. He apologized to Aumber before handing her a pokeball, “I know you don’t want to do this but this is the only way to keep them safe right now.” She reluctantly took the pokeball and as she touched the head of Absol to ensure that everything would be ok, it vanished into the pokeball. Da-Wei and Chloe informed the remaining ‘Relevant Soldiers’ to use their pokeballs to catch and protect the other wild pokemonin the forest. Then Da-Wei called Zaid’s Blastoise into its pokeball and Chloe called Gunraj’s Arcanine to it. That left only Armaan’s Greninja, and as much as it refused to run from battle it knew it had to be done.

This was it, all that stood between the wrath of Deoxys were the four warriors: Armaan, Aumber, Chloe and Da-Wei.

Chloe: So what’s the plan chief?

Armaan: We need to take out its crystal core. Aumber can your katana pierce through…

Aumber: Already tried that with the general.

Armaan: Then we need something that’s strong enough to crack through.

Chloe: I mean we have Da-Wei shiny gauntlets.

Da-Wei: Yeah… We tried that in the combination attack with everyone and that didn’t do anything, remember?

Armaan: Wait! That’s it! It just might work! (Goes over the plan)

Da-Wei: Well, I don’t have a better idea.

Chloe: I get to do things! Count me in!

Aumber: High uncertainty, low chance of success, wouldn’t ask for anything else!

Chloe, Armaan, and Aumber began to disperse in three different directions as they allowed Da-Wei to stay back and charge up his gauntlets. Deoxys was well aware of Da-Wei but it first had to deal with the other three nuisance. It began in its attack form taking Chloe head on in a collision. Chloe was able to withstand the initial impact but was then tossed aside by it’s overwhelming force. Aumber seeing it had its back turned, took the opportunity to backstab Deoxys. Unfortunately, it changed into its defense form, enduring the attack and then used ‘counter’ and slammed Aumber to the ground. Seeing Da-Wei alone and vulnerable for an attack, it switched back to attack form and fired its ‘psycho boost’ right at Da-Wei. Thankfully, Armaan jumped in with his shield to absorb as much of the attack as he could. Because of his effort, Da-Wei was unharmed and Deoxys became weaker after expending a huge amount of energy. It attempted to change into speed form to get away but before it could, Aumber grabbed her katana and drove it through its right leg. This prevented it from switching forms for the time being and limited its mobility.

Deoxys was furious but before it could make another move, Da-Wei had finally gathered enough energy and released a massive pulse wave from his right gauntlet. Deoxys being unable to change form took the full force in its attack form. It took some damage but it wasn’t enough to prevent it from continuing to battle. Da-Wei on the other hand had exhausted all he could and was now down on his knees. Wanting to get revenge, Deoxys picked up the nearest target it could find. It grabbed Aumber by the throat with one arm thinking this was the end for the warriors but as it took a closer look at its victim, she was smiling. It then turned its attention elsewhere and noticed that Da-Wei was missing his left gauntlet. With Deoxys slightly confused, Chloe jumped out and latched a couple more disc contraptions onto Dexoys releasing a shocking effect and forcing it to release Aumber from its clutches. Aumber then pulled out Da-Wei’s gauntlet that she had hidden behind her and stuffed it right into the core of the pokemon. The gauntlet had been set to self-destruct in a matter of seconds. Armaan threw his shield landing a direct hit at Deoxys, creating enough separation for Chloe swoop Aumber away from detonation range. Once everyone was out of harm’s way, the gauntlet detonated and their plan was a success.

With the Deoxys buried in rubble, the four warriors gathered together to catch their breath. “You know you can put me down now right?” Aumber asked Chloe who was still carrying her. “Did we finally do it?” Chloe asked in excitement. “It was a crazy idea but I expected nothing less from you.” Da-Wei praised Armaan as he was regaining his strength. Armaan didn’t have much to say, he was just glad that everyone was alive and well. The four of them were about to leave the scene to check on everyone else when they heard movement coming from the debris. They all had a dreadful feeling and it was confirmed when Deoxys rose from the wreckage once again.

Although it was clear Deoxys was much weaker than before, it was plenty strong to handle the remaining fighters in their current condition. It released an aura that headed straight for all four of them. Armaan quickly pulled his shield out to try and protect everyone but it was so overwhelming that it blew Chloe, Aumber, and Da-Wei onto the ground. They were still conscious but they didn’t the strength to stand up and fight. The only one who could move was Armaan. He was the only one who stood between Deoxys and his comrades. Dexoys began to slowly walk towards them. Da-Wei, Chloe, and Aumber used the last of their strength to tell Armaan to run but this time, Armaan stood his ground. “Sorry guys, no more running, I will stay and fight till the end.” He said with courage.

Dexoys was now within reach to make contact with Armaan. It raised its arm ready to smash him with all its force when suddenly his pokeball opened by itself and out of it appeared Greninja using ‘night slash’ causing Dexoys to distance itself. Armaan, shocked by what happened, pulled his pokeball back out, “Greninja you have to go back into your pokeball!” but Greninja refused. Armaan didn’t want his companion to risk its life but Greninja’s mind was made up, it wanted to fight alongside its trainer. Realizing that nothing he could say would change Greninja’s mind, he stood beside his pokemon and gladly accepted its aid. It was then that all the other pokemon broke free from their pokeballs and stood in a line formation. They were taking a stand against the destructive force of Deoxys and protecting all the people that had fought to protect them. Absol stood near Aumber and Arcanine near Gunraj.

Deoxys initially saw the pokemon’s action as foolish as it could drain all their life force for power but then it became intimidated by their presence. The pokemon began to give their energy freely but instead of it going to Deoxys, it transferred over to Armaan and Greninja, healing them of their battle wounds and giving them the energy to fight. Feeling rejuvenated and fully in sync, Armaan and Greninja charged straight at their foe and their battle bond activated giving Greninja its fully formed water sword.

Deoxys began the battle in attack form attempting to finish the battle quickly. It used ‘thunder punch’ on the incoming Greninja but Armaan threw his shield in front of its fist to block the attack, allowing Greninja a clean slash right at Deoxys. Greninja continued its relentless assault preventing Dexoys from switching into defense form. Finally, Deoxys found an opportunity to switch into defense and it used ‘counter’ to retaliate the damage back at Greninja. This sent Greninja flying into the air but Armaan angled his shield allowing Greninja to land on it and use it as a boost to rocket back at Deoxys. Despite being in its defense form, this attack broke through its defenses and landed a crushing blow against Deoxys. It tried to regenerate itself back together but its crystal core began to crack and it could feel its powers depleting. Armaan channelled all his energy towards Greninja, empowering it’s water sword for one final strike.

Everyone who was watching the battle began to raise their hand to add their energy onto their attack. Da-wei had also sent out an announcement to everyone through his communications device for their help in defeating Deoxys as well. And so people from the forest and the city who could received the message raised their arms to lend a helping hand, even ones who were previously enemies:

Former commander Duncan, private Gurshaan, commander Jovan, nurse Ruby, doctor I. Chaggar, soldier Naina, scientist Kutuhal + Maitreyee, guinea pig Pritish, announcer Johar, junior Jovan. pizza parlour Muskaan, mercenary Gursehaj, chieftain Gunraj, seer lady Neha, rival Zaid, Teenpaj, Reevmrak, Aynat, Chloe, Da-Wei, Aumber plus many others.

With everyone’s combined strength channelled into Greninja’s sword, it swung it down with full force right at the crystal core of Deoxys. With that attack, the crystal core completely shattered before disappearing into dust. Greninja and Armaan returned back to their normal state but having used all their focus and energy for that battle they began to fall unconscious but everyone gathered around them to catch them and give them a much deserved rest. It was finally over, the threat had been eliminated and there was peace among the forest.
