Avatar: Bounties

A New Adventure?

After a couple weeks of rest, Duncan and Da-Yong just couldn’t wait to get back out into the world and rise up the ranks by completing bounties. They both dashed to the board to see the updates since their last encounter. After a quick assessment they noticed that Rice the Rampage was still at the top of the list in the black bounty. They then continued down the list and noticed that Sitkar, Tsuejin, and Nase were no longer in the black bounties but had fallen into the red bounties. Once again the two took forever to decide and they began to argue over which bounty to do. It wasn’t long before a random paper flew into Duncan’s face. He picked up the paper and read the content instead of carelessly tossing it aside. It said: “Up for a showdown?” followed by some coordinates to a location. “Well what are we waiting for? LET’S GO!” Da-Yong rushed in. “We don’t even know who its from, this could be a trap!” Duncan argued. “Only one way to find out!” and Da-Yong ran to the hills and left Duncan in his dust. Duncan without any other option eventually followed along.

They arrived at a high point of a mountain where there was an arena ready for them. As they both entered the arena they were wondering who their opponent or opponents would be. Luckily they didn’t have to wait long, as moments after they entered their opponent appeared from the other entrance. It was the familiar yet mysterious Eric. As always he came to battle against them without any weapon but Duncan and Da-Yong already knew from past experience to never let their guard down against this opponent. Without hesitation, Da-Yong and Duncan simultaneously charged forward throwing a barrage of punches and kicks but he kept evading all their attempts. Eventually, Eric counter attacked and struck both the benders to the ground. Da-Yong bounced back immediately to retaliate only to get grabbed and thrown back at Duncan. Duncan quickly reacted by grabbing Da-Yong’s arm and slinging him back at Eric. Da-Yong was coming at Eric with a raging fist of fire. Eric dodged the fire punch but Duncan fired a volley of ice pucks right away in their direction. Eric was about to side step the attack but Da-Yong quickly grabbed both his arms and had him in a lock. With nowhere to run both fighters took Duncan’s attack before breaking apart. Da-yong clearly took a bit of damage in the process but they also managed to land a small hit on Eric! Part of his cloth was ripped from the last strike. “Hmm, taking a risk by taking some damage to harm a tougher opponent. Not bad at all!” Eric responded to them. He then widened his stance and clenched his fist a bit harder. Da-Yong and Duncan weren’t sure what just happened but they could sense that Eric had just gotten stronger in an instance. “Congratulations you have unlocked level 1, are you ready?” Eric asked both the fighters. Duncan and Da-Yong looked at each other and nodded with confidence. They then turned their focus on Eric signaling to continue the battle. Duncan and Da-Yong sprinted together full speed and Eric responded by engaging towards them. The battle continues on…
